About OSL Piedmont

The International Order of St Luke the Physician is an ecumenical organization dedicated to the Christian healing ministry. As part of OSL Region 3, the Piedmont Chapter is based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Our convener is Dr. Elizabeth Allen.  The Rev. Jeff Carter is our chaplain.

OSL Piedmont hosted Jesus the Healer: Exploring the Gospel Accounts of Jesus’ Healing Ministry Thursday-Saturday, June 14-16, 2012. In 3 days, the Rev. Josh Acton and the Rev. John Rice presented the full 26-lesson course of Gospel study required for membership in the Order of St. Luke. Attendees who chose to join were inducted into the order at the closing worship service.

Our special conference guests were Bishop Probal Dutta, head of the Diocese of Durgapur, Northern India, which includes Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran, Baptist and Anglican churches, and the Rev. Amiya Das. They will take this intensive teaching model back with them and use it to train prayer ministers as they establish OSL healing ministries in India.

Video recordings of the conference will be available on DVD for use in training for the Order of St. Luke.
